Our Mission Statement

To raise scoliosis awareness globally and within our local communities by teaching parents about early scoliosis awareness.  To encourage proactive treatment programs in the early stages of scoliosis detection.  To replace the current paradigm of “watch and wait” with “detection equals prevention.”

Why is Early Detection and Intervention important?

Early detection allows parents to monitor their children in between pediatric visits and school screenings (which occur only once a year) for any postural changes.  As in all areas of health, detecting a problem early generally equals a better outcome.  Being aware and knowing the early warning signs of Scoliosis and postural problems allows parents to be proactive and implement an early rehab program that can halt and even reduce the curve.

As any parent knows, kids grow fast and change in the blink of an eye.  Having the ability to recognize postural changes, however slight, is an extremely powerful tool in the battle against scoliosis and postural issues.

Current protocols for scoliosis measured less than 25 degrees is to “watch and wait.”  Early Intervention replaces this paradigm and enables the parent to take action to prevent further progression.

Early Detection leads to Prevention
